The Mayor also thanked the local labour member, Joanne Ryan for her advocacy for the growing Wyndham city.
“We know that Wyndham is growing at an exponential rate, with our population now greater than the City of Geelong, and expected to be the size that Canberra is today by 2036,” Cr Shaw said.
Traffic congestion is a major issue faced by Wyndham residents and statistics indicate that the average resident in this area spend up to two hours a day driving to and from work.
This major investment in transport infrastructure is expected to improve the liveability and sustainability of Wyndham for all the residents.
